Yearly Events:
Vacation Bible School: August 9-13, a wonderful time for many children to learn about their Savior, Jesus; a wonderful staff, crafts, recreation, music, snacks, … Vacation Bible School dates vary from year to year, so be sure to contact the church for exact dates and times.
Fall Harvest Dinner and Auction: each November following the 11:00 service. Beautiful donated gifts raise over $1000 each year, with the donations sent to local charities and the Lutheran Hour Float Project.
Fall Hayride: every October at Westview Orchard, Romeo, MI, the Sunday School children and parents meet for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
Junefest Booth: first Saturday in June … our congregation is granted a booth at the St. Clair Shores annual Junefest. We distribute books and mugs and other gifts along with various tracts and brochures.
Annual Spring Egg Hunt: usually the day before Palm Sunday. Last April over 100 children attended and searched the grounds for eggs and prizes … after watching a Puppet Show and hearing about the Savior!
Ladies Aid Christmas Party: every December, a wonderful luncheon and games and fellowship.
Ladies Aid Rummage Sale: every Fall and Spring … many donated “used” items help the Ladies Aid raise over $2000 each year for projects around the church.
Sunday School Christmas Service: each year the children memorize the account of our Lord’s birth from the evangelist St. Luke, and sing hymns in honor of the newborn King, thus telling the congregation of the miracle in Bethlehem. |
